Pictures taken from Pogo's autobiography
Pogo is the child in his mothers arms and he looks the image of his father. Pogo's father was a government official in Gunma who died very suddenly one day, I think while Pogo was in college.

Pogo's campaign poster from his bid to be the Governor of Gunma, but sadly he was defeated in the polls. Onita apparently threw his weight behind Pogo's bid.
